Kay and Gary met at Boston University while they were both getting their Masters back in 2006.
Kay recounts; “We became friends immediately, but started dating after Gary ‘kidnapped’ me. A group of us were going out for sushi, but I tried to back out. Gary showed up at my place and made me go—but no one else was there! That was our first date and it ended with quoting movies and eating Swedish fish”.
I met this awesome couple last year when they were planning their wedding, and we recently had a really fun engagement session at the Arnold Arboretum to get them comfortable with the camera for their wedding photographs.
They did almost all of the wedding planning themselves with help from Alison Majka at the Lenox Hotel.
We had a beautiful day in Boston for a wedding, with a gorgeous view from the bridal suite.

Kay and Gary are an awesome couple with a wedding coming up VERY soon. Since they are both teachers, it was difficult for them to find time for an engagement shoot until the end of the school year.
We got together on a sweltering day last week at the Arnold Arboretum to take a few photos.
I think it is important to shoot photographs at a location that has some meaning to the couple, so when they look back at the photos, they don’t feel awkwardly posed in a strange place.
Kay and Gary spend sots of time here, so it was perfect.

Kate and Eliot were married at Stone House at the Sharksmouth Estate in Manchester-by-the-Sea.
Kate and Eliot first met in 1999 when her best friend brought Eliot as her “emergency back-up date” to their senior prom.
They first met that night and who knows, maybe it was a little KC & the Sunshine Band, maybe it was a little Dee-Lite, but they had a blast together, and have pretty much been together ever since.
Kate and Eliot live together in a tiny house on Hamilton, Ma. With the help of their wonderful group of family and friends, they managed to do all of the planning and decorating of the wedding.

Amelia and James met online via a dating site called eHarmony and had their first date on Hanover st. in the North End of Boston. You may remember them from the freezing cold engagement session I did with them in and around the North End earlier this year. Check out those photos here.
This fun & creative couple did most of the planning for the wedding themselves, and included touches from each of their cultures to produce a beautiful and memorable day.
Rings for the couple were custom made in Boston with both Polynesian and Celtic design.
James and his brother John adjust ties at the Nantasket Beach Resort where they spent the night before the wedding.
With her dress hanging in the background, Amelia gets the finishing touches to her makeup by Francesca Bianco a freelance makeup artist who also works at Adara Spa, in the North End owned by Amelia.
